My husband said, “This is the best Salmon I have ever had.” That means a lot coming from him, the picky eater! He loved the glaze and how it kept the salmon so moist. This is definitely the most succulent salmon I have ever made. I give credit to Bobby Flay. Thanks for your amazing glaze Bobby!!! =)
First you will need your ingredients: Salmon fillets, olive oil, soy sauce, salt, pepper, honey, dijon mustard, brown sugar, and butter.
To prepare the Salmon glaze…….
Add 3 tablespoons of brown sugar to a small bowl.
1 tablespoon of honey.
Then add 2 tablespoons of butter.
Melt these ingredients in a sauce pan over medium heat. After melting them I poured them back into the same small bowl that I used to mix them in, but you could also leave them in the pan.
This is what the melted ingredients should look like.
Next….
Add 1/4 cup of Dijon Mustard and mix well.
Add 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and mix.
Lastly, add your 1 tablespoon of finely grated ginger and mix. This is what your glaze should look like. It has a thick texture and smells amazing!
Now, prepare to brush this succulent sauce over each salmon fillet.
Once the salmon is covered in it’s gooey glaze, set it aside. We will get back to those later.
Heat your grill outside to 350 degrees, or like I did, use your dutch grill. It will work just as well.
Cook them about 5 minutes on each side for thicker fillets like I used here. Grilling time can vary based on the thickness of the salmon. After 5 minutes you can flip them. They should look like this. See those sexy grill marks!?
You can also take the time to brush them with a little more glaze if you choose. It will keep them nice and moist as they finish grilling.
Now plate that succulent salmon with some of your other favorite sides and voila! You have an amazing dinner!
Enjoy and bon appetit!
